Default EZ Mount vs EZ Mount Thin

Has anyone used both? I do have some EZ mount which I've used with unmounted rubber stamps and I'm seriously contemplating going unmounted with most of my stamps. Can I substitute the EZ Mount Thin instead so they'll fit more easily into jewel cases?

Any pros or cons to doing it this way?

I think some of it may be personal preference...

I like a thick foam, so I use the regular on most things. I store my unmounteds in binders, so the thickness doesn't matter for me, though.

I use the thin on very small or narrow stamps (where thick foam can cause rocking or sliding) and on alot of word and small quote stamps.

I really like them both!

One thing with the thin - the back is black... I know some people index their stamps by stamping on the cling... not sure if it is possible with the thin!

I use both; the thin is fairly new and I have a lot of stamps from back in the day when thick was the only option!

I like the thin better, but I haven't tried it yet on any big stamps that were bare rubber. The thin is definitely the way to go with small or narrow stamps that feel kind of unstable with the regular cushion.

Using the thicker style doesn't make your stamps to thick for the cd cases, though-it's using the thin in addition to the cushion that's already on the stamp.

I just started using the thin. Like the previous posts, I like it for small images and word stamps. But I still like the thick overall because I stamp "heavy" and need the extra loft. JMHO tho.

The Thin ez-mount foam was made to be used with Stamps that already had foam on them..Like SU stamps.

This way if you wanted to unmount your stamps you would use this type of foam.

The thick Ez-mount faom is for the Unmounted rubber stamps. That don't have any foam.

The thicker ez-mount foam gives you a little bit more cushion under your Rubber stamps.

Long time ago before the Thin ez-mount came out I used some of the thicker foam for some of my SU stamps.

Never again will I used the thick stuff. Cause what I did was NOT take off the Foam from the SU stamp I added it to the foam that comes with the SU stamps....Dumb I know!

It makes it too Thick and it wobbles way to much on the Acrylic block.
