Default Dreamweaver stencils--techniques?

I'm looking for help with this tool. I've been asked to create some cards using the stencils and the cuttlebug--no embossing paste. I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do. Anyone have some ideas?

TIA, Janet

Janet....You need to have the rubber mat and hard plastic one from the Sizzix Texture Starter Kit. That's what I use.

I'm sure others will suggest something else, but I can't vouch for those. I've only used the items from the Sizzix Texture Starter Kit.

Please go to the cuttlebug faq. I've used brass templates many times in my bug with excellent results!

Side note: you might spritz your paper with a little water before bugging it.

I run my cardstock through the CB with a brass stencil, then keep the stencil in place while I color with chalks. I really like the effect. There's one card in my gallery done this way:

Place a piece of paper or cardstock on a mousepad (the cushiony kind)), then put your stencil on top. With an embossing pen, write on the edges of each hole. You'll see a raised image of your stencil on your paper/cardstock. For more dimension, you can swipe an inkpad or sand over the raised image
