Default Does anyone know?

Does anyone know if there are any markers in existence that blend and act like Copics with out the smell?

The smell from them makes me sick and my face and hands go numb. I used to be able to use sharpies but can't even use them anymore.

Are there any odorless markers anywhere that blend and are smooth like copics? Does anyone know if Promarkers have that alcohol, chemical smell?
I use prisma pencils but would love to use something like a copic

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I'm sorry for your problems with the Copic odor. As far as I know, most markers similar to Copics are also alcohol based markers, and all will probably have an odor, some of them more than others. Prismacolor makes alcohol based markers, and I think they have more of an alcohol smell than Copics.
Bics and Sharpies also have an odor.

Here is a wonderful tutorial showing how to achieve similar results to Copics using the waterbased SU markers. I would think you could get a similar look with any waterbased markers, too, if you don't have the SU markers.

The waterbased markers should not have much odor, as they don't have an alcohol base.

I had to read this thread to see what would be suggested. Great video for coloring with waterbased markers. Still trying to wade through the myriad info out there to figure out what I want to use! What I'm gathering is that no matter what medium I decide on, there is a paper factor as well. Copics work best on their own special paper as do watercolor markers, colored pencils etc. Sometimes I just get so completely overwhelmed by what to use that I just think I have to shelve it for a while! Plus I don't own that many stamps yet that really need coloring.

Bugga,

Thank you so much for the link to the tutorial! I like the look of copics, but never wanted to invest in them, as I have sooooo much already. I am excited to use my SU markers. I was just going through them last night as I have almost all of the old colors from 2 color changes ago.

Unfortunately, I don't think that you will find any alcohol ink marker that doesn't give off fumes of some sort (even if it is odorless it will still have fumes).
