Heart magnatic shim

I haven't seen additional magnetic shims available to buy (at least, not here in NZ).

I found on amazon.com all plates including the magnetic shims 3 for $10. ?
Hope this helps

Default magnetic shims

Good to know but I buy register magnetic sheets at Lowes for 4.95 and cut them to fit because I have a habit of cutting into them when I don't remember to turn the die the right way.

Well, I bought the new teresa collins CutNBoss, which is newest version of Ebosser when it was released on HSN. Received it and all sandwiches would fall off back. Now they advertise this as the sandwich going through and it stopping while up so one can grab easily. So I contacted Craftwell and they sent me a new one, second one motor would not engage right out of box!! So I now have waited a month and they sent me third as I sent back first two. 3rd one sandwich still fell out. :( I was then told by Craftwell they could not help me and that I should "put up" with such a small problem????? Or send back to HSN, which is what I did. I am happy they sent me replacements, but unhappy none worked correctly. So I have decided to stick with a manual cutter and get a Accucut Grandemark.

I have the old one and the plates do not fall out. That is strange. Wonder what happened in the manufacturing. I don't blame you for quitting. that is ridiculous.

thanks. I even sent videos for all three units. I told them they need to check their manufacturing as these should work same as Ebosser.

I bought my ebosser just before Christmas last year. Mine does not hold onto the plates after cutting which means that I have to place the machine where the plates can drop safely or be ready to catch them. I e-mailed the company and was told that the problem did not justify the cost of repair. They offered to replace my machine, but I declined because who's to say that the new one wouldn't have the same problem and maybe other problems as well. I'm really disappointed because I loved the idea that I didn't have to stand by to grab the plates when they exited the machine. I kept the machine because, for me, not having to turn the handle make my neck/shoulder issues worse was worth the annoyance.

That's sad. I really like my Ebosser and had considered recommending to friends with arthritis and other problems.

Can you position a document tray behind the machine to where the plates slide out levelly and onto the tray? Not an ideal solution of course, but maybe that could help?

Maybe one of the cats could curl up by the exit shoot and "cat"ch the plates for me. LoL

I would just like to say thank you to all of you! Having read through everybody's experiences here, I was primed and ready for all hiccups it would have at me. The Teresa Collins version was not available at the time of purchase.
I have played and experimented. We are coming to terms with each other.

My major discovery is that when the A-plate warps (yes it is a consumable, no I'm not willing to buy a new one yet) pour hot water over it. It tends to buckle towards the hot water so adjust directions accordingly. If it has a particularly stubborn bit, dry the plate and cover in a tea towel, then sit the Ebosser on the warmed plate. Right as rain.

I'm not a craftwell rep and I'm very sorry if I upset any of them with my idea. Please don't be upset Craftwell reps. I was desperate to play more with my eBosser. And I have ordered a new A plate but it's not here yet.
