....on using embossing folders on patterned paper? I've been wanting to give this a try for a swap I signed up for but I'm kind of in the "Hmmmm?" stage. Have any of you used your Cuttlebug folders on patterned paper? HELP! :-| If you have any samples of cards you've made.....PLEASE show me the light...lol!
WOW! TY Michelles....lol. I LOVE your cards! Ok....I think I now have the courage to break out my patterned paper and give it a go!
One more question: What's a cuttlebug?
sam
Sam....it's a WONDERFUL machine! It's my new favorite toy. This is where I got mine from: http://store.crazyscraps.com/pc37-1051.html A plus...it's now on sale + free ship!!!
Wow...ladies your cards are so awesome.....I got a Cuttlebug perhaps two months ago now. I had some of my fav ladies over to play and two of them had to run out and buy them...thinking I should get some kind of commission for each person I push over the edge....lol Free stamps even...Oh well...Love the bug.
one word of warning though. If you are working on a thinner piece of pp you might stick a scrap piece of printer paper behind the PP inside the embossing folder so that the deep embossing doesn't tear up the pretty stuff.
To answer a question asked earlier in the thread "what is a Cuttlebug" . . . . .
It's a little green rolling machine that does embossing, such as you would have seen in the sample links that others posted earlier. There are also cutting dies that you can purchase in the Cuttlebug as well.
I have a feeling I'm not allowed to post a link to it . . . I'm not really sure  . . . but it's easy enough to google.
Hope this answers your question. :p

Great tip, since I've had that very thing happen! Thank you! :p

I haven't tried embossing on patterned paper, but after seeing these beautiful cards, I will definitely try it! Gotta love SCS. Ladies, TFS.

Oh, ya, I forgot . . . . it's kind of like a wringer washer the way it works. SQUISH . . . and voila!! you have instantly embossed paper!
People are running all kinds of things through the bug in addition to paper. I've run shipping tags through the swirls folder and embossed beautifully. I then used a stencil(good size letters) and stippled ink on top of the tag. Used the SU spiral punch to punch the bottom end and inserted it into one of the 5 x 5 journals in the Mini Spring catty. I'm keeping an art journal of my journey through chemotherapy.

I'm just thinking there will be a lot of young gals out there wondering what a
"wringer" washer is....LOL. I haven't seen one in years!! Do they still make them?
I think of my "cuttlebug" as alike to a pasta machine......hmmmmm....wonder if we could make fancy pasta in our cuttlebug....? always thinking ya know.....of all the ways to utilize our "stuff" teehee
