Hi, this might sound like a little strange but I seen somewhere that you could use a rolling pin on the cuttlebug embossing folders, just wondering if it is possible and how on earth you could do it?
Is it possible? Lol

It is possible and here is a tutorial put out by all that scraps:
I use a rolling pin with the folders and am very pleased with the results. I do lightly dampen the card stock on the front and back sides, which makes such a difference in the image quality.
I heard about using a rolling pin from some ladies on a German stamping site. They say it works great.
But I have to agree with the ladies before me. IMHO the Bug is an investment that you will not regret.

Thankyou ladies for the great responses. I have asked for a "bug" for mothers day (fingers crossed that I get it). It's about $120 here in Aussie on special. So at the moment all i can do is drool over the great cards made with it. Lol, gee i sound pityful. Lol.
I can attest that a pasta maker works just great! I thought it was such an intriguing idea that I tried it out even though I have a Zip e'mate that works just fine with my folders. Either of these things won't let you do partial embossing on a card front as you can't run the folder through sideways but it works just fine for embossing 'free standing' pieces. If you don't get a bug for mothers day, maybe you could look out for a cheap pasta maker (often found at yard sales or worth a look in you local Op Shops if you have them).
