I just bought this set of dies. They are joined together so right now are all one piece and I was going to cut them apart with my tin snips. Then I got to thinking - is there any reason why I shouldn't cut them apart? Right now they are perfectly spaced (nice), but if I use as is, I will always be cutting out 6 rectangles. Thoughts?
Using them as a group would make extremely narrow "frames" and might prove difficult to attach to whatever you are making.....are you are always going to just want the largest die?
I guess I think cut them apart...You will be able to use them one at a time as well as in pairs or more if you need to...

Thanks, c-mouse. I think you are right. I just keep thinking as soon as I do, I will see Jennifer McGuire or some other stamping guru explain why she NEVER cuts them apart and I will wish I hadn't't! LOL!
I agree with Pansy, you'll only be getting frames and the smallest center rectangle which is an odd size for anything except sentiments unless you cut them apart. Which can be nice, I have a single circle die from Memory Box that does that, but it's a totally different look from layers for matting. And I end up throwing a lot of my circle frames out because often I only need two or three of them.
I wouild think you'd have more versatility cutting them apart. If you want to use all of them at once, you could always tape the group in place before cutting. I do not cut apart tiny sets of dies so I don't lose any. good luck with what you decide

I've watched her tape together dies she's cut apart - so no worries! She has kept some sets together, but not like yours. There's a neat nested set of wonky rectangles that taped back together with washi or the like, that make a fun embossed background, for example.
I think I just bought that same set of dies (MFT stitched rectangles). I left them together to do a test run (I always immediately test the products I purchase to check for problems) then cut them apart. I feel they are more versatile when cut apart and leaving them together did cut out skinny frames, which I usually don't want.

LOL I know what you mean... but I have seen JM use dies like this and they are already cut apart. She just tapes them together to cut out frames.
