What does everyone prefer when it comes to making cards and using SU ink.... craft vs. classic?
I have both and the craft seems to have too much ink and the classic does not seem to have enough. I am relatively new to stamping and I need guidance Which pads should I be buying? I like using SU because of the colors.... (even though I also use Adirondack for stamping my bellas)

This probably won't help but.... I use both but for different reasons. I like the craft ink for embossing and for when I want a richer look. I use classic when time is an issue or I'm mass producing. I have both sets of spots and that gives me both options. I'm a spot lover, though. Some people prefer the bigger full size pads. HTH.

I use the spots too. I mostly use the classic. I use the craft for chipboard, embossing with clear EP, and for stamping color on color (such as navy on red). Craft ink is much thicker and requires a more delicate touch for inking your stamp. I would also recommend heat setting craft ink to get the true color of the ink.
I prefer the way craft ink sits on the cs. Classic ink gets absorbed by the cs. The craft does take longer to dry, but it's worth it especially when you are stamping a light color on dark cs.

I am more of a colourer than a coloured stamper - so I have just begun to use the SU inks a little. So far, I think I prefer the craft- just because I think it is more flexible - you can dry it or emboss it..But I'm not certain either which is better.
I use the classic mostly as well but like others, use the craft for when I want to emboss and for white on darker colors. I haven't tried using my heat gun to dry it quicker though but I need to try that soon!
I have full sets of both and I use them equally. But lately my favorite stamp pads are adirondak - absolutely amazing colors. I keep thinking I have too many pads but I love having a variety of colors.
One thing I learned too late is that I wish I had not bought the all the SU colors. there are some of the stamp pads that have only been once or twice because I just don't really care for the color. Now I buy colors that I love. I won't get rid of the SU pads I don't use because as soon as I do I'll need them!
I use classic. If I need a certain color of embossed I will stamp in versamark and use a colored embossing powder. Or stamp in versamark over the classic ink. It is just too expensive and space consuming to have both
I'm like others here, I use them both for different reasons. I have full sized classic pads and spots for the crafts, because I do use my classic pads more. One thing I really like the craft ink for is solid image stamps. You get better coverage with craft ink, and I just use my heat gun to dry it faster.

I have all the classic spots (and love them) and will now start on the craft spots, but I never use my classic black (and I have that in a spot and full size pad) - only craft black. Craft black gives a blacker more solid image.
I answered classic, only because that's what I use most of the time. But it's kind of like asking someone if they'ld like to have a mixer or a blender in their kitchen. I have classic pads, and craft spots. I'm starting to buy more of the craft pads, because I tend to use the spots so hard that they come unglued from their plastic box. The two inks have different properties, and are best for different uses. I wouldn't want to be forced to only have one. I like the classic because it dries quick. but the craft is so nice for using clear embossing powder with. Also on dark color papers, the craft shows up much better.
