Just read the Fiskars one is not so great.
I don't want to splurge for the creative memories system.
Has anyone tried the cutter bee one?
Any others?
I'd love some advice before I buy something.
Thanks!

I know you already said the the CM system is out ... but I have to tell you, I've had it for years and LOVE it! It is totally worth the money. I got mine when they first came out -- I can't even remember when but it was a long time ago. I've only bought one set of replacement blades and I use it all the time.
I know how wonderful it is...I had one "stored" at my house that belongs to my sis-in-law. Had it for several months and she reclaimed it last week. Rats. So I've used it, I just don't have the cash to spend on the system right now and i need something right now!
Any suggestions anyone???
You're too funny! I actually have a coluzzle circle template and the blade, but it's second hand and has a few "bumps" scored into it in places....it works ok, but if I'm gonna buy something, I want it to work without hitches.
Eeeeeek! I have the EK success curvy cutter and I absolutely HATE the thing. It never cuts the circle just right, the paper is slipping all over the glass mat.....what a mess. It was the worst $30 I ever spent. Oh, no, wait -- the worst $50 I ever spent! (the other 20 dollars going to the glass mat)
I will be selling mine on ebay as soon as I can and buying the CM cutter from my friend Stephanie who is a consultant.
Is the Coluzzle good? Isn't that what SU carries now?
Honestly, if you've used CM, you won't be happy with anything else! I'd just save up, if I were you, and not waste money on a tool you'll regret buying.

I have to stand up for the Creative Memories cutting system, too! I have had it for a year, and am IN LOVE with it. I have tried and wasted money on numerous others. Save yourself the disappointment and get the best!
Yet another vote for the Creative Memories cutting system. I have the Coluzzle as well, but I rarely use it. The best bit of advice I can give you is only get the circles and ovals for CM. I bought a ton of shapes, and these are the only 2 I ever use!

I have never used the CM system, but I have coluzzles and I just love them! They're cheap and work just perfect for me! I actually use my coluzzle templates ALL the time! Totally love it!
Another vote here for the CM system. I've tried a lot of others, including the Coluzzle and Fiskars, and the CM is the only way to go. And it gives you so many options for sizes.
I have never used the CM cutting system, don't even know if there is a demo close to see one of these, so use my coluzzles, I love these, you have to be careful when using them, but as the directions say, if you have to force the knife you are doing something wrong. I have the squares (round corner and 90 degree), the ovals (regular and companion), the circles (regular and companion), and the rectangles. I also have the tiny tag template which I think is the cutest thing ever..lol

When you buy the mat and blades I'm pretty sure you get one shape set with it...correct me if I'm wrong. The little coloured thingies are the blades. Each one pulled back a different length from the edge. There are little nibbies that fit into the track of the shape and you slide it around the shape and the blade cuts. That's it, simple as breathing. The blade flips over into the circle so that you can store them without getting cut or dulling the blade. Really quite the invention.
Odd-ball here..lol all i use is the Fiskar Shape system..i have no problems with it..i even cut out a whole bunch of ovals (stamped) for a scs friend. I have the squares, rectangles, ovals and circles.
Sis has the creative Memories..and like it better than the Colluzzle. I found both awkward for me to use..so am sticking with my Fiskars.. Good luck with whatever you choose.
loves ya

Out of all the Circle cutters I have demo'd, the Curvy Cutter is my favorite, but I suggest using dotto on your paper to hold it down. You can check out my demo here:
I use the EK Circle Scissors. At first I could not get the thing to hold still. It would slip halfway through a circle.
But, after I quit using the hard surface mat that comes with it I like it a lot. I cut on one of those "self healing" mats from the fabric store. I stick the cardstock down to the mat with masking tape.
This gadget is not expensive and could be a good alternative until you save up enough for CM.
I love my CM cutters. My friend taught me the correct way to use it by the colors on the guide to the cutters themselves. My consultant never showed me how to use them. Since then, I have been in love with it..Listen to the other women, dont waste your money on cheap ones.

Wow thanks everyone! Good info here....
I guess I'll probably have to wait until Christmas and put it on my wish list..../
Until then, I'll try to figure out the coluzzle.
And ya, my sis in law had other shapes too but I only used the circles....
