Default Chocolate chip craft pad - ink looks black?

Anyone else have this problem? My chocolate chip craft pad is soooo dark. When I stamp with it the ink looks black. Is this normal?

I'm a bit bummed - I was all excited to use it and now I can't use it what I bought it for!! :(

Try stamping twice. Most inks stamp lighter the second time. If that works, then just stamp quickly once on scratch paper each time before stamping on your cardstock.

If it doesn't work and it still looks like black, then they put the wrong label on the inkpad. Send it back.

Mine always looks black when I first stamp it, but after a little while, the ink soaks into the paper more and it lightens up. Same with my Vintage Violet. If it doesn't lighten up after a few hours, I'd call my SU! demo to see about getting it replaced.
