I'm thinking you may mean the nub that snaps the cd case shut. If this is the case, they're real easy to snap off using a pair of needle nosed pliers. Just angle the pliers as close as you can to the long edge of the nub and give it a a quick and firm twist toward you. They snap off cleanly most times, but if there's some left repeat the process.

I've never seen any nubs holding my CD cases closed? I'm pretty sure she means the spindle that normally holds the CD on it-- you can't put stamps in a CD case that has the center spindle.

They're on my CD cases. They lightly snap them shut so it takes a little pressure to open, otherwise they don't stay shut. I helped my grandson take some off for a school project. Mine don't have a nub directly attached to the plastic to hold a CD, there's a separate plastic tray with a nub that just snaps out.

I use cd cases that I find at garage sales. the hub just pops out if you run a knife (or exacro blade CAREFULLY) under the hub holder plate.
