For colored cardstock, I like SU. For white cardstock, I like Papertrey, or if I am feeling cheap, I like Georgia Pacific from Walmart. Whisper white is okay for layers, but it is too flimsy for card bases.

SU - and I've noticed too on blogs, etc - that even when people are using other stamps - like Bella's, etc - they still tend to use SU cardstock and ink! Gotta love the matchy-matchy!
I'm a SU girl when it comes to ink and cardstock. I haven't tried Papertrey white, but when I'm doing any coloring - which means using Versafine black - I use Georgia Pacific white from Walmart. Versafine smears on SU white.
I just received my first pack of TAC paper. I love the texture and the white core, but I noticed it was thinner than the Bazzill. The SU seems to be the thickest. So I'm at a standstill in that I love the textured paper but want something thicker for cards. Before I stock up and spend the money on cardstock, I wanted to get everyone else's opinion first.
I also noticed that every sheet of TAC cardstock in the pack I received has a removable sticker. Will every piece of plain 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock from TAC have this removable sticker?
Thanks everyone!

Reason: Typo again
Bazzill bazzil and bazzill!!!!! So many colours, heavier than SU , textured, bazzill shimmer!!! For colouring purposes I love SUWW as it has a coating - so it is great for using gamsol and prisma pencils.. I don't mind SU - just not textured - not many colours comparatively - and pricey!! But I do have SU for the colour challenges, and they do have some lovely colours!! and - I don't always want texture. Bazzil is definitely the stronger for a card base!!
Depends on the purpose. For card bases, SU. For stamping on white, either Whisper White or Beckett Iceberg I can't tell them apart on a card, but the Beckett is heavier and doesn't smear as much). Sometimes I pull out my CTMH when I want that white torn edge or if I need something a little lighter weight (like nugget boxes - easier to fold). If I want "bling", it's either the brushed metallic or shimmery white from SU or it's Bazzil if I want color. I have more cardstock than I will use in a lifetime.... LOL!
I prefer Bazzill for colors and textures and Curious Irridescent for a card base. I like the weight of Papertrey but it has sort of a cheap too bright white look to it and seems to pick up any dust/dirt (never has this problem before with any other cardstock). So my fav is Curious Irridescent which is "other."

Did you know that Stampin' Up! also has the textured cardstock in the coordinating colors?
To me, SU is heavier than Bazzill. Maybe bazzill makes different weights of cs? I don't know but if I made a card with bazzill and a card with SU, the SU card seems much sturdier.
I was going to say the same thing -- to me SU is heavier than Bazzill. I love both equally and for different reasons. I use Bazzill mainly for scrapbooking although, sometimes it will find it's way into my cards. SU cardstock I use for everything and now that SU offers textured cardstock, I haven't had a need to buy any Bazzill -- love the SU textured cardstock!
I haven't tried TAC, but I've used some CTMH cardstock in the past and I'm not a fan of the white core cardstock, plus the CTMH was very flimsy -- not sure about the weight of TAC cardstock.
I also use SU for cards, but Bazzill for scrapbooking. I buy patterned paper from all different companies, and Bazzill has way more colors to coordinate with all of those papers.
Me too I love Bazzill for Scrapbooking and Love SU for the Cards. I even sometimes combine the two but I haven't been as creative as I'd lke to be the these papers
For colored cardstock I love SU and CTMH. It depends on whether I'm tearing if I use SU or CTMH. But, for card bases I use Marco's Paper. I love their 80# Cougar White & Natural. They also have a Utopia 80# Matte that is marvelous for stamping without coloring.
I haven't tried the PTI paper yet but I've heard it's fabulous.
SU and TAC are comparable in their whites....I use both. For plain paper I love SU but I love Bazzill's textures. I also love the DCWV white core textured paper because it sands and distresses so well. I guess it just depends on what you are using it for. I say "the more the merrier", why not buy them all? ;)
I voted SU...because I am picky about having ink color, ribbon, etc. match to the paper. I do use Papertrey Stamper's Select for my white card bases, however. Whisper White is too flimsy for a card base.
