Default Can I cut metal foil sheeting with my Nesties?

I have some 38 ga. decorator foil in my stash...really like super heavy aluminum foil...can I cut this stuff with my nestibilities without ruining them? Did a google search and couldn't find anything...Thanks!!

Yes the Nestabilities can cut craft foils and even aluminum pop/beer cans if you cut them up with tin-snips (but be careful on your cut edges, they are sharp). You can also cut the aluminum from those disposable cooking pans/sheets that you can buy from the grocery store. Embellish the metals with Alcohol Inks for fun coloring.

I am double checking on exact gage #'s that can be cut.

Are you using the Wizard with your Nestabilities or one of the less powerful machines?

I just got off the phone with the Co-Creator/Co-Owner of the Wizard and Nestabilities. The Craft Foil that Spellbinders sells (www.spellbinders.us) to be used in with their Dies and Wizard is 38 ga. However, there is a disclaimer that some other manufacture craft foils might have a tighter tinsil strength, which then the foil would only bend and not cut.

I have used Amaco Craft Foils (not heavy gage) and have cut pop/beer cans and even the disposable aluminum pans with my Spellbinders Dies and Wizard. I have also used the Craft Foils that Spellbinders sells on their website. All with good results.

I would suggest playing with what you have and have fun.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your response...the metal sheeting I'm using is Maid-o'-Metal brand. It worked great in my cuttlebug. Good idea about the alcohol inks...I have a stash of those waiting to be used!!
