Default Can anyone tell me about Paper crafts?

I've been reading some posts here (my favorite thing to do!) and some people have mentioned Paper Crafts Magazine. Is it worth the $15 a year to buy it? I do not scrapbook as much as I make cards and paper things like clipboards, boxes, etc. TIA for your help!

Paper Crafts

I subscribe and enjoy it. With the passing of Rubber Stamper into the clutches of crafts and Things,,,,,,Paper Crafts and then Cardmaker will be my only sources of ideas/patterns besides this site.

I like it. It is the only magazine I subscribe to.

I like it a lot. I subscribe also, and it is one of the best ones out on the shelves. There are issues that, IMO, are better than some, but overall, I can pull ideas and inspiration from every issue.

I like it alot. It's like anything else. Sometimes I see an issue and I don't see anything I want to try. Then I'll pick the same issue up later and see tons of things to try. I really enjoy it. (I do wish there was more stamping.)

I was a subscriber for MANY years, and as stated above by Jenn & Judy I agree that some issues are better than others. This year I let my subcription expire, why? Because I'd rather put the $15 towards my fan club membership here on SCS. I feel I get WAY more bang for my buck here than any magazine could EVER offer. There is so much talent here and the gallery changes daily. I can hop on here 24/7 and find inspiration quicker than my patience allows me to wait for the next months issue. If I see the magazine on the newstand I will take a peek to see if anything sparks my interest enough to buy it but for the past 6 months I haven't bought a single issue and quite honestly have not missed it. I'm not bashing the magazine it's just my choice & what works for me.

Default What are the benefits of SCS membership?

I love SCS also - but I'm not a member. What are some of the perks of becoming a member? If I'm going to spend the 15 bucks I need to get the most for my money! TIA

You took the words right outta my mouth!! IMHO, the best card/paper craft mag. on the stands...HOWEVER, I wish they had more templates, etc.....I too stopped subscribing and put my $$ towards this site... you can't get ANY better than SCS...and I'm not biased, it's the TRUTH:mrgreen:

I personally love Papercrafts magazine. I have a subscription and always look forward to receiving it. I love the non card stuff like little gifts that is included in it. However, take my opinion with a grain of salt. I am an information/magazine junkie. I have about five magazine subscriptions and regulary buy the following: Papercrafts, Sommerset Memories, Sommerset Studios, Simple Scrapbooks, Creating Scrapbooks, etc.... I just love magazines and Papercrafts is definitely one of my faves.

I also love Papercrafts magazine. Not every project sparks my interest, but it is cheaper to subscribe for $15.00 rather then pay $5.00 an issue. Im not always close to a computer, so I may not be able to access SCS. Like the previous post, I like magazines also. I like being able to have something tangible to refer to while im building a project, etc.

Hi Patty, nice to see your post! I like to browse through my papercrafts mag for ideas. I keep them for inspiration, but am getting lots more here at SCS.

I LOVE Papercrafts magazine! I am always inspired by it; many of our SCS sisters have cards/projects published there each month; I love going thru it as soon as I get it to see who I might 'know' in each issue! Considering it's at least $5 per issue, (I thought $5.99), I think it's well worth the $15 a year; after all, you can't always have your computer with you; a magazine is a little more portable!

The #1 perk is keeping this great site up and running!

In addition you get access to the Dirty Dozen galleries, instant card uploads and Dirty Dozen Fan challenges.

check your local library. I've been able to check out this magazine- they dont always have the most current issue, but there are still lots of things in it to keep me occupied
