Default Bind It all questions..

Hi all

I was looking at adding a Bind It to my (growing) wish list. Here are my questions:

Are the covers made of chipboard? Can you use your own chipboard for the cover?
The machine looks very small.... what is the size limit of what you can bind (eg 6x6, 8x8, etc.)?
Do you need to buy their inside pagers, or is there something you can use that you may already have on hand?
The O-wires. I am assuming they can be cut down to smaller lenghts. Can you reuse the left over O-Wire? What is the best all-around 0 size to get for a first-timer?

Am I over thinking this;)

Thanks

Hi,
I have the Bind It All.I'll try to answer some of your questions.I have only recently gotten the Bind It All. I have a Rubicoil and thought this would be nice as it will punch through thicker material and has a lifetime warranty.

1.You can create your own covers from any thin material.Chipboard, thin metal, cardstock, cds and more.Whatever you have "on hand" for covers or inner pages.
2. It is small ,which is great for me as it takes up less space. It punches 6 holes and is perfect for small projects. It can be used for ANY size project. You just keep feeding and puching 6 holes at a time until you complete the project. Then you "bind" six holes at a time.
3. You can buy or cut your own "inner pages".They are cut a little smaller (3/16" )then your Cover so the cover overlaps your pages. You could take your cardstock, paper ect and have it cut at a Staples,Office Max ect for a very small cost.A whole batch could be cut at one time. You would cut it "3/16" smaller then the size covers(4",6",8",10",12" ) you decide to use.
4.You can cut the coils according to your needs. It comes in 12" lengths.Yes, you can use all of the coil "leftovers".The size coil you want depends on several factors. How thick the material (cardstock, chipboard, ect) is that you want to use, what type of embellishments, also the "look" you want.
The size coil determines how easy it is to turn the pages..Do you plan to add riibbon ect to the coils. Also, do you want the "coils" to be a part of the style of the project. I personally think the 3/4" is fairly universal for smaller projects.I would want 5/8" to "1 1/4" for medium to larger projects. You can measure a piece of rope or heavy string to get an idea of what would fit in a "3/4","1"ect.Just lay the string flat and measure, cut and close the circle. That will show you how much space is available for your pages and cover.
I do not think you would regret purchasing the Bind it all.I would have bought it before I bought the Rubicoil , if it had been available, as it is a less expensive option. The rubicoil does a great job and the coil look is lovely but for the price, the Bind It All has great versatility and is well worth it in mho.

Here is an excellent site that will give you more information. I would put the URL but I have not posted enough times to include it.You know what to add on the front of the site address.

zutterzisters.com

I would NOT spend the money on the Bound2Bind book.I did and it is NOT worth it.The same information is available at the above site. You can find it on EBay for $44.00 and if you have a store that carries it and allows coupons, you could pick it up for less.It is really a great inexpensive tool.
HTH Good Luck

Here is a video review I did on the Bind-it-all. Maybe it would help you.
