Default Big Shot & Stampin' Up

Last weekend I was stamping & scrapping with some very nice Creative Memories ladies. I have been an SU Demo going on 10 years but mostly hobby demo. I love nearly everything SU. CM had partnered with Cricut, SU with Big Shot. I brag about my love for my Big Shot to every stamper/scrapper I know. Then the horror and mortifying moment arrived. My Big Shot broke, it would not feed the cutting pads and made this obnoxious and disturbing sound. I was mortified it broke in front of a some of our competitors reps! My Big Shot was nearly 5 years old and it was well used. It had a good life. But would SU replace it despite being out of warranty? I am so very pleased to say YES! That would have never happened if I had purchased from a local or on line store. Just another reason I will continue with SU! Love their service and responsiveness! Any body else have any great stories to share?

My BS is still going strong, knock wood and I ordered it from Convention the day they announced we would be partnering with Sizzix. I have heard numerous people wear their machines out and get great service from SU!

I bought my Bigshot directly from Sizzix. It's a Hello Kitty one. I wonder if Sizzix would've replaced it as well??

I have read good things about Sizzix' s customer service too. They have some repair kits available depending on the problem.

A customer of mine would like to know what is the best way to cut out the wonderfall leaves after you have stamped them. Can anyone help me?

With that particular set - it works best to cut and then do one of two things. One - ink up the stamp with versamark and then lay the stamp ink side up on the table and very gently and carefully set the die-cut leaf directly on the inked stamp. Then you can either rub your fingers across the stamp in that position to ink the die cut up - or with versamark being sticky, you can often flip the stamp and paper once you've gently tapped the die cut to the versarmark-inked stamp and then flip it over and push down like normal. Two - skip the stamping - just die cut it and then emboss with fave texture folder.
