Default Big Shot question

I have the Sizzix Big Shot, not the Cuttlebug, and I also have the Nestabilities. It is becoming a pain in the neck to drag out the multipurpose platform (MPP) every time I want to cut with one of those dies because that is all I use it for. I can't use it all the time for other dies or for the CB embossing folders. Has anyone come up with a better idea? I have to admit I haven't tried shims but even that would be easier than the MPP. I even disassembled it thinking that grabbing just the 2 pieces would be better, but it isn't. Sometimes it goes through crooked and the edge of one of the tabs is all bent.....arggghhhh!

Help me make it easier! Thanks :-)

I don't belive shims would be a better answer because you would have to load a lot of paper (i.e., shims) to make the thickness of the MPP. My BS didn't come with a MPP. What I got was one single thick piece of white plastic and then I have to add shims or a crease pad to make it work. I tried the tan mats for the nesties and it's a royal pain the whoha so I don't use it. I do like my single piece of plastic and don't ahve any issue with it being crooked.

If you have the extra money and want an extra "toy" I would suggest buying the quickutz revolution. Right now I think that most places are offering them for around 39.99. They have a magnetic platform that makes using the nesties very very easy. You just put the nestie on the platform, cardstock, cutting mat and run it through. It is also not very big if you are limited for space. I just got mine and have found it very handy for nesties instead of using my bid ol bick kick.

I just leave the MPP on my machine. I plop down the pieces I want and cut away. I feed the connected side in first so I don't have problems with the
MPP parts bunching up.
