Hi can anyone help I have just set up my big shot pro and have noticed a strange noise when I turn the handle. It sounds quite tinney and only happens when the handle is turned, I am just concerned as I thought it would be quiet does anyone else have a strange noise or just me!! I don't think it will affect the cutting but I don't know if I should return it can anyone please help huge thanks lynne
It seems there is a stray piece of metal in the roller so I will have to live with it as sizzix have told the shop I bought it from that it will not affect the machine.
Did the shop tell you Sizzix said that or did you hear it from Sizzix? I'm surprised Sizzix would tell anyone to just live with the noise and a stray bit of metal, NEITHER of which should be present.
The machine has a 3-year warranty from Sizzix, so be sure to keep your receipt handy. (Perhaps put it in an envelope and tape it to the bottom of your BSP.) I don't like the "stray bit of metal" thing. I'd worry about that.

This is a new machine so it should NOT be making odd noises. I would contact Sizzix because the shop just might not want to be bothered replacing/returning this NEW machine. When you contact Sizzix, I would tell them what the shop personnel told you-doesn't sound right.
Way back when, we had bought my daughter a word processor that stopped working just before the warranty expired. I took it to the recommended repair shop and it was taking forever to get repaired. The repair shop gave me the company customer service number and asked me to contact them. It turns out the repair shop was slow paying on orders so the company was withholding sending items on their order but since I, a customer, was contacting them and needed this part, they sent it. Maybe there is something going on between the shop and Sizzix and you are stuck in the middle.
I just got my BSpro and I am stumped. What is the proper "sandwich" for cutting with a Spellbinder die? Thanks!
Sizzix recently (finally!) came out with an adapter set for using the wafer-thin dies. You can fiddle with DIY sandwiches, or make your life easier by just buying the adapter set.
Hi Stephanie, just want to say THANKYOU for your post I will contact w Rees and explain my problem hopefully it can be rectified. I have been quite upset over this problem especially as I had saved up and looked forward to receiving my big shot pro now I have put it back in its box and reverted to using my old big shot.
