Default Cricut - brand new user needs help please!

I have the Tags, bags, boxes and more cartridge which I use in my PEC.

I've tried cutting a tag packet but even set on the maximum size it cuts across the 6"x12" cutting mat resulting in a tiny tag packet. Is there any way to rotate the cut so it cuts the packet lengthways along the cutting mat giving me a bigger tag packet?

Thanks!

I have an expression so not totally sure but I have a 'portrait' button that changes my cut direction.

Tarsen......When I use my original Cricut for the Tags cartridge, I found that all the images do come out rather small....more like the size one would use for a favor. I just cut them at the largest size possible for the machine.

No on the original Cricut there is no way to orient the cut a different way.

On the Expression you can do it portrait, but even that will only cut the size and way the machine is programed to do it.

Using the Design Studio, you can have a bit more flexability to enlarge it and the orientation for the cut, but with the orignal Cricut, you can still only cut to the largest 5.5 inches.

I like the Tags cartridge, but am disapointed that even with the Expression the items are still rather small.

Patti

P.S. You mention a PEC....what is that?

Thanks for the replies.

Patti, I was too lazy to type Personal Electronic Cutter.

I guess I need to take a look at Design Studio.....

Thanks again
