Default Anyone tried Prismacolor markers?

I've heard a lot about copics, but was wondering how they compared to the prismacolor markers. Any input is appreciated!

I have the prismas... I got them as a set at Joanns with a coupon... so it was pretty affordable... I don't think that they are refillable... but I hope the Dear Lord lets me live long enough to outlive my markers! LOL... I like the way they color, they are really vibrant and I use the blender to make the colors kinda blur and i have had great luck with them

I just can't afford the copics right now so I pick up a few prismacolors whenever they have them on sale at HL. I like them.

I like them too. I find the fine tip hard to beat when coloring in small spaces. I have some Copics too and have bled past the lines using the brush tip. It isnt fine enough for me.

Anyone have any hints on how to use these? Can you actually blend one color into the next to soften the line. I'm not loving the blender pen. Is there a particular paper they work better on for you? I've had best luck so far with Smooth Bristol (I read this somewhere online on a review of the markers). I figured I'd invest a little less on these until I learn to color, then if I am enjoying it, invest in the copics.

eta: Found the link with lots of information that recommended the bristol paper. Also I've read on other sites or reviews that they run out of ink fast, can be replenished maybe 3 times by putting rubbing alcohol in it (open end and put it in). Has anyone had trouble with them running out. I don't want to build up a stock that won't last.

Taylor does a good review/comparison of the two.

Hope this helps!

I have the Prismas and I do like them. They are cheaper to. The Copics are just to expensive for me.
