Default Anyone have a daylight brand light?

I'm thinking of getting one. I've seen them at www.everafterarts.com

Do you like it? Is it helpful? Any drawbacks?

Which model did you get or wish you would have gotten?

Thanks so much

Trying to make an informed decision,

Jodi

I'm interested in knowing more about a good light source as well. I noticed a few weeks ago that Jo Ann was featuring the Ott lamp at half price, and I'm wondering how it compares to the Daylight brand. ???

Actually I have two. One in my stamping, scrapbooking room and one in the office by the computer. I love them. They really make a difference. I have the kind that you flip up and it turns on.

I would say they are definitly worth the $$

I have the Scrapbook Model and I love it. I got it at AC moore with a 40% coupon. I think it came to around $60. I've had it since Oct. 2004.

The light is wonderful to work by. I love having a desktop version. The base of mine is a little bulky, but it does hold a lot of stuff. I love having the clip on the base so I can stick a sample in there that I'm working on recreating.

You can't go wrong with one of these! I always thought I'd buy an Ott light b/c of the brand name, but I have been very happy with my Daylight lamp.

HTH

Good luck!
Ashley

Thanks for asking this question, I've been wondering the same thing. I'm going to have to get a lamp like this soon.

I have OTT lights- I think they are wonderful. I think that any light with the 'bulb' that comes in the Ott light are wonderful. Just be careful of the task lamps that you can get at the office supply stores- task lamps are not the same as the true color lamps.

Hugs,
Shelly

I have one of each on my stamping table. I found out one was not enough. The OTT light is brighter and bigger, but I don't think you would need two. There were too many shadows with just one. They are really nice for choosing colors.

Default Daylight

Hi there!

I have the desktop version and find that it is so great to be able to match colors. I would recommend it to anyone needing a true light source.

I have 2 ott lights, one stands on the floor and I use that for scraping, card making and when doing cross stitch. I also have the flip up table Ott that gets used mostly when traveling.

I have the Daylight one that clips on my scrapbook table which I got from everarts.com. I LOVE it! Really makes a difference. I also have the flip up OTT lite, which I like too. I had it on my desk before I got the clip on one, but it tended to wobble off and fall on the floor! Both are great, but I was especially happy with the price and the lamp I got from Everarts - Mike is great!

I also have two Ott lights. The small table style that I use for cardmaking and a floor model that sits between my sewing machine and computer. It has a flexible stand and I can move it to where I am working.

I love them. They are great for seeing natural colors.
