I have not used it on a card yet but would describe it like tissue paper. It is very thin. Go to the gallery and search with "waffle paper" and you'll find several cards using it. I shared my purchase with others because there is way more than I could ever use in a lifetime.
I'm curious, too. I just go my SU order -- and I had ordered some not knowing what I'd do with it, but I thought it looked like fun. I can't access the SCS gallery here at work, but maybe tonight I'll take a browse.

I like to ruffle it behind a punched circle. It also looks good that way with the addition of the glass glitter or regular glitter around the edge of the circle. I'll attach a card I just made....I like the waffle paper! You can ruffle it and even run it through an embossing folder too!
I attached two pics...I don't have the silver and gold yet but it's on it's way to me:-) Have fun with it!

I just used it last Sat. at a workshop. I loved it. It basically seems to be crepe paper. We ruffled it too. It's a nice change to use in the place of ribbon.
