I want an airbrush for card and tag making and stenciling. I will be using alcohol inks, reinker ink, distress inks, mists (Mister Huey), watercolors......
Does anyone have any recommendations or experience with airbrushes? I really need some help and guidance.
I have the copic airbrush and do enjoy the ease of using it. I do not use often as I use canned air with it and that can add up fast. I recently purchased the Tim Holtz spritzer tool that can be used with multiple markers.. Have not used enough to say much about it. The Copic is spendy and the spritzer is around $16.

When I was doing ceramics I frequently used a single action Paashe. I found it to be a durable workhorse that is relatively easy to maintain. I just recently bought a new air compressor and as soon as I find my airbrush I'm planning on using it on cards. I don't recommend canned air just because of the expense. The Spritzer tool is not an airbrush and isn't something I would want to use over and over.

I have the TH Spritzer and it doesn't real allow for any control and is limited to pens..... I want something i can use with my stencils, mists, inks, reinker inks, alcohol inks, etc....
The EBrush started this quest........ depending on the price, I may purchase that but I still would like an airbrush system for my other inks and mists.......

At this point, I think I would like the airbrush for the copic pens and a separate compressor that could also use 3rd party airbrushes for my inks, etc.... a compressor that can do double duty...... with the copic airbrush and a general craft airbrush........
I spent the last week looking at airbrushes and compressors...... They were all way more tool then I needed to spray my greeting cards and tags with ink and mists using stencils....... I bought the Duff cake decorating airbrush today at Mike's with coupon!!! It's exactly what I needed to be able to have the control to spray the inks, distressed inks, mists, etc that i needed. I will post some pics with the spray results in the next few days...... I have a crew for Mother's Day tomorrow :-)

HSN is selling the new Craftwell eBrush Airbrush System with Accessories...there's a video that you can watch...it uses several types of markers including Sharpies.
I bought the eBrush and must say I like it. I've only used it with the Sharpie marker. I didn't find it difficult to use and with some practice I'll be able to have more control with different techniques (thin vs thick lines, etc.)
On the high setting it vibrates so I'll need to find something to keep it from falling off the table.
Now I just need adapters for the rest of my pens. Hopefully Craftwell will make an adapter that adjust like the Spritzer has then I could use my CTMH, SU, EK and more.
I have a very old but great working Aztec air brush system with many cups for color changes. I tried it yesterday with water based ink and added water to thin the color and it worked great, but my paper buckled some.
Has anyone tried a regular airbrush with alcohol ink and thinned with rubbing alcohol to create the color you want?
Rather then buying a ton of colors, I can use deep shades and thin out. Just curious if anyone has had experience with this. I am going to try it today. Since I already own this system with a compressor, I don't want to spend money for the copic system.
