For some reason today I found a few bags of buttons I liked..I am wondering how to adhere them to a flower punch or even to a card? Glue dots, mono glue?? suggestions..thanks
A strong clear drying glue will work but I prefer glue dots. I have found that if I use liquid glue and the button gets bumped it can fall off. That doesn't happen with the glue dots.
Is there a brand name for the dots? Something else to add to my list.
Thermo Web markets them under the name "Zots", and they can be found in the paper craft aisle at Wal Mart, and at scrapbook stores and chain craft stores such as Michael's.
Glue Dots International is another brand name.
And, there's another one called "Crop & Glue", but I think there's are square shaped???
I'd avoid the 3-D/Pop Up ones--they are really thick, and I find I hafta cut them down to use them anyway, most of the time . . .
HTH, and yup, I'm another that favors glue dots for securing buttons!

Like everyone has said, most versions of glue dots work great for buttons.
A little tip with buttons: If you want to take a little extra time, thread a needle and put some thread through the button holes before you put it on the card. Sort of like you were sewing the button, but tie the thread on the back. It looks really neat - like you really sewed the button to the card, not just glued it.
