Default Liquid Applique Help?

Well, silly me, I ordered it, and have no idea really how to use it... figured I'd try something new LOL. So, what are your favorite uses for it? how do you use it? TIA

I've only played around with it a little myself. Used it as icing on the roof of the Sweet Holidays set. I think it looks great.

Just squeeze it on and heat set it.

Well, I only have the white liquid applique but I use it just about everytime I have snow or snowflakes in my picture. Just dot in on where you want it to be (but use it sparingly as it puffs up a lot), then heat it with your heating tool. It's a great finishing touch! I have also tried brown that I borrowed from a friend using it on hedehogs. That was very cute too!!
Have fun!!

Oh, wow, didn't realize it came in different colors That's pretty neat. But we just sell the white, right? Sounds like a heat activated puffy paint, right?

I have used mine for snow, on sheep and for the white spots on bluebonnets.

I love using the white as snow or snowflakes. I add glitter when it is wet and heat it, it gives it some sparkle. I've also used the white as icing on gingerbread men, it might look good on cakes, maybe add some reinker for color.

The brown (which SU doesn't sell) is great on teddy bears.

My friend used it to make a suede texture. She squeezed some onto a piece of plexiglass then rolled the brayer through it and applied it to cardstock.
I don't see why you couldn't apply some reinker to that for color. I will have to try when I get home from holidays. I'll watch this post if anyone tries.

I think I've seen L.A. Michael's, don't know about Hobby Lobby.

You can color it with pastels after it's been heated....the coolest thing I've seen done is putting dabs on the branches of Lovely as a Tree and then coloring them pink.

www.marcopaper.com has 17 different colors of Marvy's Liquid Applique.. $2.49 per tube. So does 1stopsquare.com
If I knew where to find the instructions, you can make really neat fake leather by building up layers of gold embossing powder and brown liquid applique. [In case you need to know why I can't find the instructions...... go to the General Stamping forum and check out "Messy or Neat?".
