Waxpaper Technique?

What is the waxpaper technique and how do you do it :???:

The waxpaper technique I know is for making cool backgrounds. Crumple up your wax paper and lay it over a piece of glossy cardstock. Run a warm iron across it and then peel off the wax paper. Next, with your brayer, roll on some color...I use dye ink. One note. Be careful about fingerprints! They have a way of resisting the ink. Anyways, it gives a very nice background piece for your soon to be work of art!
