I made several sets of coasters last year. I taped the tissue paper to regular printer paper and printed my images onto the tissue paper. I trimmed the images down and used Modge Podge to adhere them to the tile coasters. I found a variety of MP (at HL I think) that was suitable for outdoors. I applied adhesive cork to the underside. I haven't heard from any of the recipients that the coasters didn't work or that the images lifted off. Hope this helps.

I have made coasters before using tissue and also with regular paper. I had some trouble getting my tissue not to jam in my printer. I like the tissue better, but the regular paper looks nice too. I gave them as gifts last year for Christmas and they were a big hit.
