Question Is there a machine that cuts perfect mat stacks?

I make cards and when I go to cut the paper to layer on the front of the card, it never comes out the same. Is there some machine out there that cuts even mats that I can stack? Or do I just need to measure better? LOL Thanks for your time!

Zutter makes a machine that will cut strips (the same company that make the bind-it-all). Here's a link to a pic for you: Zutter Cutter

What about that perfect layers tool, I don't recall the name of it...but people were raving about it. I think you get it from QVC? I'm not sure if that's what you are looking for, and I haven't used it personally--but it sounds like it might do the trick?

If your images generally fit the sizes of the nestibilities, then you can use that to mat your images since each one is 1/4" larger than the smaller one inside.

Check out the new Creatopia machine by Xyron. SCS has it featured on their homepage. If anyone has it I would love to hear their comments about it.

DreamKutz is the machine by Zutter. The Perfect Layer tool was a SU product, but I think it is discontinued.

I got my Perfect Layers from QVC some years ago. I just usually eyeball it..maybe I should try using them again. ;)

I just cut my mats...trying to measure as carefully as possible with my guillotine cutter. I've tried the Fiskars trimmer and my mini-guillotine, but I guess my larger paper cutter is what I started out with, and so that's what I'm most comfortable with (it is a really good one, with a great grid on it). However, I now and then come across paper that is not cut correctly...and no matter WHAT I do I can't get a an even cut!! It rarely happens with 8 1/2 x 11, but I've had lots of problems with 12 x 12 paper...

I think even if they had a machine like that, I'd rather not buy any more equipment to have to worry about!

Good luck...I know I get very cranky when my mats are uneven!! LOL

I use my quilting Omnigrid ruler and do as the above poster but since it's clear, can put the ruler right on the card part and measure 1/8 or whatever mat I want to use. Works great every time.
