Default stump????

Ok, this may be a dumb question - but what is stump? I have seen a couple really cool cards in the gallery that used this...but what is it???? I am a new, my-first-workshop-is-Tuesday, demo. Woo Hoo! (I have a bad cold, so I can't breathe, so I can't sleep, so I decided to come here to pass the time. Is it because it's 4:08 a.m. that the gallery is so fast??)[/i][/b]

I find the gallery faster in the morning here in NH. That would make sense though because the west coast is still sleeping and there are less users trying to use it.

I son;t know what the "stump" is eaither...so I'd like to know, too.
