Default Stamping On Tiles

I want to stamp on the ceramic tiles to make coasters for Christmas gifts. I wasn't sure if I needed a special cleaner to clean the Staz-On ink off the stamps or if the Stampin Up stamp pad cleaner will work. Can anyone help me out on this?

We made tiles last weekend and I asked my Demo this very question. She's of the school of thought that your regular cleaner is fine. It will stain, tho. And in the past, I've spent some extra time cleaning my stamp with a soapy cloth to try to get most Staz-On off. So...go with whatcha got and don't worry about it!

I mean, if some people are super picky about how the rubber looks, they should just buy extra stamps and store them in a china cabinet, right?

Default Thanks

Thanks for the help. Also, I noticed some of people who have posted their completed tiles in the Gallery say they used an acryllic sealant. Is this necessary? If so, is there any particular kind?

I bought some special Staz On stamp cleaner. It works great and your stamps will look like new again.

The sealer is necessary if you use non-stazon ink to color the image. We made some with tumbled tiles, stamped the image with stazon and colored it in with regular markers. They were beautiful. Invest in the stazon cleaner it is worth it! Good luck and have fun!
