I found this tutorial By Kathy Miller. She stamped on a clear sheet of acrylic.I'm wondering if you can buy acrylic at a craft store.I have searched all over and can not find the material anywhere. You can find her tutorial on youtube.com .Hope someone can help
I've only purchased the acrylic albums that are at the lss. However, I have read that you can get "craft" acrylic at Home Depot, Lowes--home improvement stores.
I haven't had a chance to look there. If you have one close to you give them a call and see what they say. I've also read that the acrylic can be cut at home, but I don't recall what you would use to do that.
I'm not sure if this is much help to you as I'm from the UK but I have come across a site that sells acrylic pieces especially for stamping on. SCS say I haven't posted enough to give you the URL (bare with me...I'm a newbie!) so I'll suggest that you go to:
all the Ws 'dot' joannasheen 'dot' co 'dot' uk 'forward slash' craft 'dash' supplies 'forward slash' acrylic 'dash' art.
I hope that makes sense...if not I can PM the site to you!!!
It's always worth a nosy, though I guess postage could get a little pricey. Depends how much you want it. I'd usually substitue the word 'want' with 'need' when it comes to new craft goodies!!!
I have had good luck with Transparency film for copiers found in any office supply store, also gallery glass has a cuttable acrylic which works. found at craft stores and on line. loisjp
