Talking Stampin Up perfect layers

HI there!! I bought the Stampin' Up perfect layers and I can't figure out how to use it. It may be because I am blonde :rolleyes: but my friend who isnt couldn't figure it out either. Help!!:???:

OK, let's see if this can be done without visuals! Say you want a 1/2 inch layer. After adhering your stamped image to the card stock you want it layered on top of, you line up the inner "lip" of the "ruler" (where it has the 1/2 stamped on the clear ruler) against the card stock with the stamped image. Then using the outside edge of the "ruler", you use your hobby blade to cut the card stock to the 1/2 inch mat. Always use a self healing mat to under the card stock when you are using the hobby blade. The stamped image will always be under the "ruler", and the outside edge of the "ruler" is the guide you use to cut the layer with. I hope this helps! It's so hard to do without visuals!!
