Default Stampin' off method?

Hi everyone. I was checking out the gallery and came across a beautiful christmas card that I would like to make. The poster said she used the "stampin' off method". What is that?? I've done a search and come up empty.
Thanks!
Tami

You can "stamp off" to make a lighter color than what you'd get with a first stamp. Ink the stamp like you normally would, stamp it first on a piece of scrap paper, then stamp a second time (without reinking) on your cardstock.
