Okay, so now I am scrounging around my house collecting pennies because I'm in love with Spinner Cards!
My question is, what size of the Stampin' Dimensionials are you using?
I've been using the thicker ones. But I remember reading that somebody ordered some SD and when they got them you now get 300 and they are all the thinner ones. At the time I was excited because I use those up first. But when I try using one of the thin ones, it doesn't spin. And when I double it up, it gets stuck (and I'm very careful on how I line them up when stacking)
I'm going to try using the left over foam, but I don't know if that will work.
I used foam scraps on the Loads of Love spinner I made for my Father in Law. Worked like a charm! I'm talking about the scraps from when you cut out your stamps!

In all the spinner cards that I've been making, I just used the extra foam from trimming my stamps. What I discovered is that the size of the slot in the card is what dictates the size (diameter) of the dimensional (or in my case, foam that I cut). If it was too large, then it wouldn't spin. If I trimmed it down, then it spins freely.
I buy just the cheap dimensionals at our local Ben Franklin or Wal Mart. I know I should use the SU ones but you use so many that I wanted to get the cheapest ones I could to do these
Okay, then I'll use my Michael's discount and get some from there. I'm also going to cheat and get a gold ink pad from there. I forgot to order one with my SU! order.
So when using your scraps from cutting your stamps, are you cutting them in circles?? Because I know that some of the foam dimensioanls are not always round, some are square, some on octagon.
sometimes like with the spinner cards I will cut them smaller to fit into the slot but normally I just used them as they are ...
Believe it or not my customers thought I was nuts at first when I told them and then a few when thru some cards they had made and saw how their dimensionals compressed and now they swear by only using their scraps for them....besides we have already paid for the scraps with our stamp sets so why not used them ??? as my daughter says be earth friendly and recycle...
