It was my birthday yesterday and i got a ton of $$$ to spend on craft stuff. I am for sure getting the cuttlebug machine. i would really appreciate all of your recommended cuttlebug or any kind of tool that you like
Oh YES, you'll LOVE your Cuttlebug! It's absolutely GREAT for embossing cardstock. Get some neat embossing folders to go with it. They are about $5/piece. Just be aware that if you get/use cutting dies, you will make marks on the plates---BUT this is NORMAL...what I did was to buy an extra set of plates. So I use one set when I'm embossing and a different set when I'm using the cutting dies. Have FUN!!!!
They have some neat combo backs too. I bought the pumpkin die/ folder and then decided to try the butterfly set. Then there is another that is almost like pick a petal. You may want to get the C plate if you decide to do the Nestabilites in your CB too. ;)

I'd recommend some Nestabilities to use with the Cuttlebug. They seem expensive, but if you consider the cost of separate punches, they are a pretty good deal.
Other supplies I'd recommend include the ScorPal and border punches.

I'm still new to all of this. I just bought a cuttlebug. They were on sale at AC Moore for $39. I thought that was a GREAT deal... couldn't even find that price on e-bay. I was wondering if someone could tell me what nestablilities are and some of the things you could do with them. I have an idea, just looking for some clarification. Also, any idea's where to find them for cheap?
I have a CB and love it! I have many of the popular tools on the market and I use my CB for almost everything I make. You can use the Michael's 40% coupon to buy it. That's what I did and it made it much more affordable. Happy shopping. Have fun.
I love the Nestabilities with the Cuttlebug. The one thing that I did was pick up an extra set of B plates to use just with the Nesties, I found that the B plates that I used with die cuts would make a lite impression in the CS when embossing the nesties, so now I have a set of B plates for die cuts and a set for nesties. Also don't forget if you are buying Nesties make sure you get the tan embossing pads or others have used plumbers gaskets.
I was looking at the Nesties. There are so many options... which is normally good, but now I feel a bit overwhelmed. So I'm taking a poll... Which Nesties do you use most? or Which Nesties would you suggest for a beginer?
I love cuttlebugs also but have you considered buying the Big Shot? By having the Big Shot you can use absolutely any die with any company. I believe the Big Kick is the same thing as a Big Shot and you can get it with the 40%off coupons at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.
I found a website some time ago that I really like. It has Cuttlebug, BossKut, Nestablities, static-cling foam (to convert your wood mounted rubber stamps to the static-cling to acrylic block type) and lots, lots more. Always running specials and have discounts. Shipping is really fast also. It is www.cropstop.com. I have been buying from this site for a couple years and have not been disappointed yet! I am sure you will find some great deals there - check it out!
Invest in a really good paper trimmer. I bought a fiskars cutter 4 years ago for $12 and it's still in great condition. Maybe some of the other posters can recommend a good paper trimmer.
