I saw a card sometime in the last few months that probably was from following a newsletter thread. It had three scored rectangular borders that were intertwined/overlapping at the corners. I was hoping to find it so I could do something similar for the colour challenge this week, but I can't seem to find it in any searches. It would take weeks to go back through all the newsletters, so I was hoping someone would recognize it and point the way. I thought I'd see something on the scor-pal website, but no such luck their either. Anybody seen it or something like it? Thanks in advance!
I think I bookmarked this site at some point. I looked at several of the ones that looked promising and went through all eight pages of the SCS link, but no such luck yet. When it comes time for boxes, I'll be set though.
I've spent several hours looking so far, so I may just have to chip away at the old newsletters afterall. I guess we'll see.
Thanks for the reminder about Melstampz. At least I know someone else has seen it too, so I KNOW I'm not dreaming, lol!
Go to score pal projects--on the web site go to summer issue 08 and I think it is close to the peony grid card--just leave out the middle grid--good luck
Thanks for the tip, I do really appreciate it, but this is not what I'm looking for. They are straight lines that cross, but they are different sized rectangles that overlap and yet still make a three lined frame. If you didn't look at the corners you would think it was just three rectangles inside each other. It reminds me of an optical illusion in a way. I don't know how to explain it any better, but I would scratch my head for quite a while trying to make it myself (and have it look nice) without a picture to guide me.
Still not what I'm looking for, but thanks anyway. These don't run off the page like regular scored lines, but rather create a frame. They just look like three nested rectangles each 1/8th apart until you look at the corners where they interweave or interlock (ie. one slightly skinnier and taller, one slightly shorter and wider, etc.). It reminds me a bit of a puzzle ring - overlapping/interlocking smaller rings come together to make a single ring. Still clear as mud or am I making more sense?
I can picture it, but it's not clear enough in my head to translate it onto paper, nor is it any easier to describe accurately. I suspect when I see it I will go "AHH of course, it's easy!" and everyone else will say 'so that's what you meant".

what about different sizes of nesties...some long and some short...I'll have to see what I have and play around with this. I'm thinking this will be a good challenge for me.
yes, it sounds like a pattern made using nesties. Could it possibly be the card that is very intricate, black, and I think red, lots of detail? I think I know the one but cannot find either.
I don't think I've seen that one; I remember the one I saw being white. The border framed some sort of focal point that was the reason for posting it, but the border is what I remember. I think it was done with a scor-pal or scor-it. I remember others commenting on how much time it must have taken. It's actually one of the reasons I got the scor-pal and now that I have it, I can't find the card. That'll teach me to bookmark or fav stuff more.
