Rubber Mounting

I know I have seen the answer to this somewhere on here, but I just dont remember where. I like using the clear stamps, and was wondering how I could mount rubber stamps on clear acrylics instead of wood.

Are you speaking permanently or just a sticky back so you can change them out?

I have lots of customers that do this. It saves them lots of space!! Here is how they do it:

"I use something called Aileen's Tack It Over (you can pick it up at Michaels for like $2)...and I put it on the back of the cut SU stamps once I cut them to size..then instead of mounting on wood blocks, I can store them in an acrylic CD case. When I want to use them, I can use my acrylic blocks and just stick them to that..this way, I can see exactly where I place them Also it takes up less room for storage than the wood blocks."

Just a sticky back so I can change them everytime I stamp.

Jen, I am confused, what do you do with the sticky backing from stampin up stamps? I would peel that backing off and then what lol?

I am 95% sure they removed the paper and put the tack-it over the sticky backing (of the foam). The foam is not removed.

Does that make sense??

there are a number of different ways to UM stamps for use with an acrylic block-
Aleens tack it over and over glue
poster tape/double stick tape
Grafix vinyl window cling
EZ mount

I am using a combination of these methods, but primarily using the cling vinyl for now. Trim your stamp, peel off the paper, and stick it onto a vinyl cling (Grafix window cling from Michaels). The cling sticks to the acyrlic block, and you peel it off when finished. I also stamp the cling with the image prior to sticking it on so that I can see the index through my acrylic block. Read/search in general forums for unmounting stamps, UM, EZ mount. I've unmounted all my new sets and I'm about 1/2 done with UM my old sets. Then I store the sets in a standard size CD case (pop out the center ring). You will be amazed at the space you will save!
