How do you all scrap your recipes? On 6 x 6 pages and then put in an album? On index cards and then make a box? Do you type the recipe onto cardstock and then scrap it onto something else? Is there a recipe-type stamp set that you use?
I'd love to make a gift of our family recipes this Christmas, but don't know where to start :(

I am making a recipe scrapbook for my daughter. I am including pictures of family birthdays, celebrations, etc. I have done a brief bio for grandparents and great-grandparents and included pics with their recipes. I have even included some of my daughter's recipes and some from our extended family.
In my hometown, we have a print shop called "Express Print." If you scrap a book that is 8 1/2 x 11, they will print it very inexpensively. I will give copies to my neices and nephews, too.
When my in-laws had their 50th anniversary, I did a scrapbook for them and had it copied for all the children and grandchildren. They loved it.
I have used my copier to do the recipes...I am trying to put them on half a page and use the other half for pics and journaling. I am doing "sections," and journaled those divider pages.
It has been a very "fun and reflective" project.
I have ordered several things from you and appreciate the fast service....I think we share the same love of "stampin & scrappin" stuff!
Great questions. I have just recently gotten into making the 6x6 recipe cards. I typed my recipe on white cardstock and then put it on 6x6 paper and decorated just as I might a scrap page. They have turned out cute. I was going to use my BIA but decided to put them in a box instead. I bought a sturdy box at Michael's which I will decorate for Christmas. I have the recipe stamp set from SU so I have made my divider pages using that set. I am in the process of making them now for my daughters and grandaughter. Good luck.
My favorite is 5 1/2" x 8"-half sheets. I print two recipes to a sheet- (landscape-side by side). I have my school students do recipes this way.
It saves me tons of time and paper because cardstock can just be cut in half. I use the tab punch to attach a tab with the recipe catagory on it. Sometimes they stamp on the pages, but usually just decorate the divider pages. My favorite books I did were for christmas last year. I burned all the recipes to a disc. I then put it in the back of a 4 x 6 photo album where it had a place for a cd. I stamped some recipe card and filled some of the pockets. I cut printed paper and covered the first page that said photos. I stamped the SU chef stamp on that page. It was fast and cute. I found nice 4 packs of albums at Costco. I tied printed ribbon around the flap that went over the album top.

I use an 8 x 8 photo album with page protectors.
this size allows me to make 6 x 6 or 8 x 8 pages,
which I prefer, because I have biofocals and don't
like or can read well the smaller recipe swaps used,
larger pages are easier to decorate also

I have far too many recipes to scrap them or handwrite them out. I am in LOVE with PTI's recipe set but I don't feel like spending an entire month writing them out. So what I do is print them off of a word processing program, then slip them into plastic 8.5x11" sleeves and that all goes in a 3-ring binder. This way I can rip pages out of magazines, trim them, and put those in the binder, too.
Definitely not a crafty way to do it, but this has worked best for me for several years.
