Default Question on crayon background technique

ok, I just read the tutorial on this technique, and got all excited. so I made my MIL bring my DH's crayons that we're temporarily storing in their garage with a bunch of other stuff, and now I'm all excited to try this out. however, I'm wondering if I can stamp over the background with classic ink? has anyone tried this? or will only craft ink work? any input would be great! thanks
Michelle

hmmm....possibly Basic Black or Brown. Staz On is probably a good choice. If you have some extra paper and time try it and let us know!

thanks, I did use the classic basic black. it turned out ok, but didn't show up very well. this actually ended up good for what I was using it for, but I guess if you really want your image to show up craft ink really would be better. I'll have to try that soon. there's a pic of what I made last night though in my art gallery the link I believe is here:

if anyone's interested in seeing the classic ink on the crayon background. the soft swirls stamp was done with the classic ink.

oops I forgot. it's the stipple Rose card that has the crayon background. it's the most recent addition, so it's the first one in there until I add more I guess.
