Default Question about polished Stone

I was at Regional in Tulsa Saturday and finally got to see the polished stone technique. NOW I think I can try it!

Anyway, what are some of the best color combinations? I am about to order some reinkers so that I can try it.

TIA!

Any of the colors from the Two-Step Stampin' Color Chart would be great together:
Pretty in Pink/Pink Passion
Almost Amethyst/Lovely Lilac
Gable Green/Green Galore
Close to Cocoa/Choc Chip
Bordering Blue/Night of Navy
Rose Romance/Rose Red
Mellow Moss/Old Olive
These are just naming a few of the combinations - just choose between your gold and silver metallic accent. The other fun thing I have tried is to sprinkle Iridescent Ice EP over your polished stone finished product when it is still moist and then heat set. A very sparkly accent is added as a final result. Have fun experimenting!

Default Polished Stone

I just tried this technique for the first time last night. I used eggplant envy with old olive and gold reinker. It turned out nice. But I have a question too - the gold seems to rub off when you touch it (even after setting overnight). Is there something I did wrong? Or do I need to seal it with something?

Thanks!
Vanessa

When you are finished with your polished stones just give it a light spray with cheap hairspray. This will seal the metalic ink. Make sure the hairspray is in an aresol can and your all set.
