Default Pullin' Pastels?!

I have a question: I tried to do the Pullin' Pastels technique last night, and I think I might have done something wrong. I've already typed all this up at my blog, so I'll just post a link to there so you can read it and see my card: http://seitlerstamps.blogspot.com/20...n-pastels.html

In your experience with this technique, do you think I did something wrong? Or is this the way it generally works?

Thanks so much for your input! I'll share the general consenus at my blog as well so other stampers will know...

I think it looks fine. If it doesn't seem as dramatic, it's probably just because your cardstock is so dark. I'll bet it would pop much more if you went with a very light color.

It's more that it really didn't pull the pastels...the VersaMark seemed to just soak in instead. I was wondering if that's what it's suposed to do. Actually, I have no problem with the intensity of the color. ;) It looks just as dark as the cardstock border.
