Question Paper piercing

does anyone have a trick regarding paper piercing?

I love to do it and love to use it for a little something on the inside card layer - the thing is it drives me nuts that when I go to adhere that layer down my pierced holes "close up" again. KWIM?

anyone have a trick to keep this from happening? I thought I had seen a thread on here about this topic previously, but I've searched and cannot find it.

TFH!!

Default Paper Piercing

I haven't done much of it because I was having the same problem. Anyone have any suggestions or tricks?

After I adhere that layer to my card, I'll go back with my piercer and stick it in the hole slightly, then move it around in a circular motion to open the hole back up.

That seems to do the trick for me.

ok, I determined to find myself a solution and this is what I've come up with. After piercing the paper, while the paper is still "sticking up", I sanded the back side of the project gently to wear away the edges. I used an old fingernail sanding block that I keep on my table.
This worked pretty good for me. I did have to go back through and push my piercing tool through the holes from the front and sand the back multiple times until I was satisfied, but in the end I was satisfied.
Give it a try!
