HELP! I volunteered to do invites for my SIL's baby shower and birth announcements for a BFF...my printer is rejecting my vellum. Any suggestions on how to make it work here or where I can take it to get the job done?? Any and all help is appreciated!:-D

Not sure if you have tried this?? Changing the paper type?? On my computer when I click on print, I go to properties and in the middle of that window it should says paper type, I click on special papers and then specialty papers. This is what I had to do when I made my in-laws' anniversary invites using vellum. Not sure if this will help or maybe you've already tried this, but thought I would mention it anyway.
If nothing else it will bump it up to the top for others to see. Good luck!

Hi Jen,

I have a hard time printing on vellum -- I think my printer isn't too great. What I have to do is run a line of repositionable glue (I use the tombow mono) and run it on the VERY top edge of a piece of regular printer paper and stick my vellum carefully to that. Then they run through together and it prints on the vellum pretty well. (Put it in so the stuck together edge goes in first.)

I can't touch it for a while or it streaks, but once dry, I peel it off the copy paper and it's good to go. Does that make sense?

I don't know if that's workable for you if you are making tons of invites/announcement but maybe it will help? Otherwise I might take it to a printing shop and see what they say.

After you've printed on your vellum put it upside down on another piece of paper and just rub over where the printing is (from left to right 2 times, not back and forth). The other paper will absorb the excess inkjet ink and it won't smear or smudge and you can handle it right away. I did this with my son's baptism invites. I learned it at the SU! convention last year. Sounds odd but really works fantastic!
