Hi, I used this and I hope I used what you are talking about lol. It was easy, did a good job-not great-but then again it was my first time using it. Something I will invest in, but not pressed about buying it immediately.
It left a nice added touch to the card we were making.

If it works the same as the one that was discontinued a few years ago, then it is fun to use. My demonstrator is probably happy that it is back, because she used it a lot to add an extra 'something' when cards looked too bland.
If it is the tool I am thinking of, it "sprays" or splatters ink from the marker onto the card... similar to a speckle background. I hated it, thought it was very uneven. It was the first and ONLY item I returned to SU (to my demo)

I am very glad, we have this tool back. It was called the Air Art Gun and I think it retired 2 catalogs ago.
The splatter effect you get on your card will depend on how you position your marker inside the spritzer tool. Mine is coming today and I can't wait to play with it again.
It makes softer speckles then the Itty Bitty background. It's just the right tool to add a little umpf to cards.
I get a similar effect using the aquapainter. Just scribble with your marker (or dab your spot) on a CD and pick up the ink with the aquapainter. Then flick the aquapainter with your fingernail. I hit it right on where the sponge part is. I get a nice splatter doing it this way. Just keep picking up more ink and moving the aquapainter around above your image to get an interesting splatter. The colors are more muted than with the markers, but I usually don't want uber bright colors for this technique anyway.
I just got mine 30 minutes ago and it was the first thing I had to try. It's awesome!!!! You can create very, very fine splatter, and you can control how much ink you put down by moving your hand slowly across the page versus quickly and/or holding the tool further away from your page.
I am SO loving this ... already envisioning beaches (sand), stars in the sky, and multicolored backgrounds. The ideas are endless! Must go play some more!!!
I saw my demo tonite and forgot to order it. I used it on Sunday and just loved doing it-ordered a set of watercolor crayons instead lol. Where did my mind go lol.

I too just got mine yesterday and had to play! It took a couple of tries to get it working the way I like it, and I am so glad I got it. It can look like the splatter stamp from Itty Bitty Backgrounds, or you can even get it looking finer than that by adjusting the position of the marker. It is fabulous!!!
I got one a couple of years ago, took it to a workshop and lost it and then purchased another one from my demo who had bought a few of them when they were not going to be available any longer. Sometimes you just need a little more color and the spattering will definitely add to your creation. I love it; don't use it all the time but there are some times when it just comes in handy.
