Default Metal tags help?

How does one use the sides of the metal tags once they've been cut? I have tried cutting a SU metal tag and then insert another piece of cardstock (as in the card on the top of page 43 and 58 of the current idea book and catalog), but I can't get the cardstock of the tag out away from the metal tags.

Is there a way to do this easily?

Thanks!
Clare

Hi Clare...not sure if I understand your question but...

To remove the paper from hte metal tag I cut the tag in half and pull the paper out starting at one side and working my way around to the other side. Usually it is a good strong pull, but no problem. But sometimes I use a sharp knife and just kind of pry the metal apart slightly.

To insert the paper I can slide it in, but I do have to use the knife and pry the metal apart slightly especially if using CS since it is heavier!

Hope that helps!

Thanks! I'll give that a try with my metal tags.

This confused the heck out of me... I couldn't figure out what you guys were talking about! All of a sudden a lightbulb went on... you were talking about metal-RIMMED tags! Phew... that one hurt!
