Is there a tutorial for making a windowpane out of cardstock to overlay a stamped/colored image? I am probably not looking with the right words....does anyone know what I am talking about? Thanks!

I've sometimes just used a square punch to cut four squares out of a larger square. Or used a slightly fancier one because I still have my old Fiskars ShapeCutter templates .
I looked at them, but they don't have the cross bars in front of the image... I know they aren't called that, but that is all I can think to call them....hahaha Thanks though for looking for me!

Hmmm.....I guess that might work for me....I was hoping for an oval one....have this idea in mind....but I could practice with the squares and see if I could maybe cut an oval shape after I've punched?

How about if you cut out an oval to the size you want. Then on the cut out oval piece, find the center points (you could do this before cutting) and draw a light line on the north-south and east-west to the edges. Measure however wide you want your cross posts to be (if 1/4" wide, then mark 1/8" over on each side of the center). Draw the lines to the edges, as before. Then use this as a template as to how far you want to cut (along the north to the west points, stopping at the 1/4" post, then continuing on from the west to the south points, stopping at the 1/4" post, and continuing on as before). This won't work on with a Nestie on a die cut machine, obviously, but it can be done manually. Another way would be to measure as before and make a cross piece separately to tape on the inside of the card after cutting out your oval. You'd then need to make another cut out oval sheet to fit on the inside to hide the ends of the cross bars. Clear as mud?
