Default Making Card scented?

Have any of you ever made a card that is scented with perfume or anything? I saw one at a craft show and am not sure how to make the card scented with out getting oil on the card or anything. Any tips?

Spritzing an element of a card instead of the whole card will maybe cut down on any splatters. Could you spray tissue paper to story with the card until you were ready to send it? I would think that just like the body, a little scent goes a long way on a card. I see that SU! is coming out with scented embossing powders. I used to make my own by mixing Koolade packets (the paper envelopes without sugar) with clear embossing powder. The texture wasn't as smooth when melted and you could see some of the food coloring when you melted it, but the effect was kind of neat.

My mom was the proud recipient of my first handmade card. Cost $200.

I've made a scented card by mixing Kool-aid with embossing powder then embossing as normal. Well, it was actually more like a scratch and sniff card. Super fun!

I part filled a little sock with Perlite, or Vermiculite( gardening supply, to mix with soil in plant pots) and added a few drops of scented oil to that, then put it in a sealable tub. I add paper flowers to it for a day or two, and you get a nice scent to them. You could add some ribbon/fibres to the box too. I have heard of people using scented drawer liners to line the envelope too.

Can I just pop in here & say receiving scented cards is very nice - but don't scent a sympathy card.
The scent would always remind someone of the sad event.
