I saw a card done on paper pleasings blog and she did the leather technique on her fathers day card can anyone tell me how you do this? I really liked it and would love to try it. Thanks. You can email me if you like.
Hi Shawnee..the way i do mine is..i take a bone folder and work it at each end of my cs..like curling ribbon..turn over and do the same..when u see the cs starting to seperate then u peel it apart vry carefully..it will look like suede!! i also then take a tooth brush or vry fine sand paper and lightly go over it to give it more of a nap if u like..it really feels like suede..hth's. maybe sumone can give u better instructions..
loves ya

I used the faux leather technique on the resources page and use brown inks to achieve the leather look - works fabulous!! For the faux suede I use liquid applique - brayer it on your CS then heat it with your heat gun. If you use brown LA, it will look like suede or leather depending how you roll on the LA! Hope that helps!
here is one where I used Liquid applique (blue) for faux suede. I don't have a pic of a brown one I made, I gave it away before taking a picture! oops! The faux suede is more of a touchy feely to be real, but it is pretty cool!!!
