Default How to tie this bow?

How do you make a bow with a flat bow with two loops, a square center, and no long pieces hanging. Sorry can't link to a picture.

I do it as two separate things. I loop the ribbon, flatten the circle and use adhesive to attach it to itself in the center. Then I attach a short piece of ribbon over the top of the bow and use adhesive in the back to hold it in place. I sure hope that makes sense.

Default flat bow for cards

I hope this makes sense - wish I had a video for you. (1) Punch 4 small holes in a diamond shape where you want your bow. (2) Thread each end of the ribbon from the front through the top and bottom holes. (3)Then cross the ends on the back and bring them up through the horizontal (left and right) holes, and under the loop made in the 2nd step - don't pull them all the way through. You should now have "bunny ears" to pull to the shape and size you want your bow. Hope this works for you. It looks like a real bow, but it's flat.

You can also do it with paper - Nichole Heady did a tutorial on her blog here: http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capt...2007/04/3.html

HTH!

Or this? Forums at Splitcoaststampers

It sounds like what you are describing.

Here is a card with the bow I was thinking about allee's SC94 by allee's at Splitcoaststampers. It does have little "hang down" pieces, however.
