I made that bow at a workshop once and we used organdy ribbon. Even though the ribbon is very thin, it was hard to get that last bit of ribbon through the slit punch holes. Has anyone tried this bow with bigger holes such as a 1/4-inch round punch? Maybe that would only be a good idea with either wide or thicker ribbon so it doesn't unravel, but I'll give that a practice run to see how it works.
I just did, and it turned out great. Once I realized that you have to form the loops in the back, and then criss-cross them and pull them through to the front, it was very easy.
I used to make these bows quite a few years ago when I first started stamping. I just used two round holes side by side. Worked out pretty well. Funny how we forget some of these techniques over the years! I'll have to resurrect this one!
Hello and thank you for the great bow-tying tips. Here is yet another one that I have been making for a while. It is good if you just cannot get to grips with bow-tying or do not have a small slot punch. Hope you can follow my attached directions. Mariana
Now this one I call EASY! I will be trying this tomorrow! Thanks
